Paros Wine Route Experience
PAS-0901 (Tour Code)
Embark on a unique gastronomic and historical experience in Paros, witnessing the glory of its lush vineyards which produce fresh aromatic flavors and remarkable wines, and take a journey back in time to discover Cycladic history that reveals some of the island’s local traditions.
Your journey begins with a visit to the Archaeological museum in Parikia, which houses the antiquities that until 1960 were kept in the cells of the Katapoliani monastery. This is one of the most important museums due to its unique archaeological findings from the Neolithic period to early Christianity both from Paros and its nearby island Antiparos, including the Nike of Paros, Cycladic figurines, mosaics and other artifacts etc.
Heading to Naoussa, you will enter the famous local winery founded in 1910, whose founder had passed the art of vineyard cultivation down to younger generations who today continue to produce high quality wines from the selected indigenous varieties of Paros island. You will be taken on a tour around the winery’s cellar and taste various varieties that reveal the unique characteristics of Paros’ terroir.
At the end of the tour, you will be served an explicit homemade lunch to taste traditional dishes from the famous Cycladic cuisine.
