An experienced local guide will take you on a scenic trip around Santorini’s countryside, to visit the archaeological site of Akrotiri, explore traditional villages, stroll on a black beach and visit a family owned wine estate for wine tasting and a light meal.

This historical tour will stop by at the most important landmarks and historical attractions, starting with the Akrotiri prehistoric town where you will learn about the advanced ancient civilization that once existed in Santorini before the volcanic eruption completely buried it in ashes until it was rediscovered in 1967. Then, you will learn about the local culture and visit not a – typically busy – village town of Santorini where you can walk through the whitewashed houses and winding streets of a traditional village. Later, you will make a stop at the famous black beach (anyone who visits Santorini must pay a visit).

Finally, you will be taken to a family owned wine estate for wine tasting of unique and exotic wines, which are blooming with aromas you will not find anywhere else in the world, accompanied by a light meal.
