Explore one of the most elegant Cycladic islands with rich cultural heritage and lush nature on foot! This tour is ideal for those who love nature and wish to stay in good shape! Hike to the interior of this aristocratic island and discover the hidden beauties of Tinos. Follow its marvelous old hiking paths and hidden trails and get familiar with its authentic villages, mesmerizing museums, small chapels, skillfully decorated dovecotes and interesting nature. Tinos interior beauty is impossible to leave you untouched.

Depending on the group and weather on the day of the tour, your guide will take you along one of the “moderate” hiker routes:

Route 1> Krokos- Skalados- Koumaros- Exomvourgo-Ksinara-Loutra-Krokos  (Duration: 3 hours hiking/ total 4 hours with stops and visits)

A very interesting round route in which you will have the opportunity to see several Catholic villages of Tinos inland. In the village of Loutra you will visit the special folk museum of the Ursulines Monastery (open only during the summer months), which was considered an exemplary school all over Europe, while at the mountain of Exomvourgo (the second highest mountain in Tinos) you will visit the ruins of the Venetian castle and admire the breathtaking view from the mountain top. In the village of Krokos, you will make a stop at a small traditional tavern to have rest and lunch (optionally).

Route 2> Kampos – Loutra- Perastra-Smardakito-Kampos  (Duration: 3 hours hiking/ total 4 hours with stops and visits)

This is a beautiful route with a fantastic view of the Tinos inland. The route starts from Kampos village where you will also find the museum of Kostas Tsoklis, descents to the village of Loutra, where you can visit the museum of the Ursulines Monastery (open only during the summer months). Ursulines used to operate as an all-girls school and was considered an exemplary educational institution all over Europe.  Its interior has remained intact and will travel you to a bygone era. Then you will continue the walk along the riverside until you reach the rich in vegetation and picturesque village of Palesta. From there we continue uphill, working your way up the trail to the mountain summit and enjoying the striking view of Tinos inland. Lastly, you will head towards Smardakito village and return to Kampos.

This tour is semi private for small groups of 2-12 persons, or it can be arranged privately for groups of 1 – 12 persons. 

Easy route (2.5 hours) is suitable for everyone (no previous experience is required).

Moderate route (4 hours) is suitable for persons with some or no experience who are physically fit.

Advanced route (4.5 hours) is suitable for persons who are experienced hikers.

Children (8 – 12 years old) are allowed to participate with parental guidance.
