If you wish to have a typical Cycladic experience of picturesque landscapes, culinary expertise, ancient sites and monuments and endless blue views of the Aegean Sea, then you will find everything you are looking for in this excursion! In an organized group tour, you will start your day by visiting the monastery of Panagia Chrysopigi, the most prominent monument on Sifnos and the protectress of the island, known both for its unique architecture and peaceful atmosphere. After, you will continue to Kastro village, one of the most stunning attractions of Sifnos. Walking through the narrow alleys of this white-washed medieval village is an absolute must while in Sifnos, as the entire village looks like an open-air museum with stunning panoramic Aegean Sea views. If you like, you can also pay a visit to the Archaeological museum of Kastro. Then, you will be driven to the village of Artemonas. In this traditional village, seemingly untouched by modern life, you will admire neoclassic mansions built over 200 years ago, painted according to the traditional Cycladic patterns which always is a truly enchanting experience for its visitors. Upon finishing the exploration of Artemonas, you will visit the most important archaeological site of Sifnos; the Acropolis of Agios Andreas. This is one of the most well preserved Mycenaean (13th century BC) fortifications in the whole of Cyclades, awarded by Europa Nostra.  This open air archeological site extends over an area of 10.000 meters and includes an urban network of buildings, temple, roads, rainwater management and various smaller movable objects. Within the site there is a small, yet rich, museum which you can visit if you wish. Next to the site, you will also find the beautiful church of Agios Andreas and its breathtaking panoramic view of the island and the Aegean Sea.

After this unique experience, you will have free time for swimming or lunch in either Vathi or Platys Gialos, before heading back to your hotel.

Alternatively, you can also do a private car tour following a similar itinerary to the above (with stops at Panagia Chrysopigi, Kastro, Artemonas, the Acropolis of Agios Andreas) and finally ending the tour at the capital of Apollonia, known for its picturesque whitewashed alleys and its main street (also known as “steno”) where all the shops and nightlife come to life due to a variety of great restaurants, bars, cafes, dessert shops, jewelry and pottery handmade outlets etc.

Finally, you will be returned back to your hotel at the end of the tour.

This tour is organized (group) with minimum number of participants 10, or can be arranged privately for small groups of 1-4 persons (maximum).

Children and infants (up to 12 years old) are welcome to participate with parental guidance. 

You are advised to carry cash for the admission to the Acropolis of Agios Andreas or museums. In case you decide to do the tour privately in the afternoon, please keep in mind that the church of Agios Andreas & the museum are open in the mornings from Tuesday to Sunday (08:30-15:00).
